J&T BANKA Bratislava is a member of the J&T Group focusing strategically on clients and transactions requiring a largely individualised approach.
In addition to providing comprehensive private-banking services, the bank specialises in real-estate financing, business acquisitions and stock broking for private investors.
J&T BANKA has operated in the Czech banking market since 1988. J&T Banka, plc, was established in Bratislava as a branch of a foreign bank, coming under the deposit protection scheme of the Slovak Republic.
In addition to J&T BANKA Prague and J&T BANKA Bratislava, the group also includes the subsidiaries J&T BANK Moscow, J&T Bank Switzerland and, since 2008, also J&T BANK & TRUST Barbados.

- entry into the Slovak banking market – founding of J&T Banka, plc, as a branch of a foreign bank in Bratislava
- acquisition of IBI Bank in Switzerland, Zürich and Lugarno in 2008 and renamed to J&T Bank

- acquisition of the Tretij Rim bank in the Russian Federation in 2008 and renamed to J&T Bank

- acquisition of the Bayshore Bank & Trust (Barbados) Corporation in 2009 and renamed to J&T Bank
2010
- opening of branches in Stary Smokovec in the High Tatra mountains, at RiverPark in Bratislava and in Kosice
